'Call of Duty: WWII' News: On the Character Trailers and What to Expect for the Zombie Game

"Call of Duty: WWII" publisher Activision is determined to keep the hype up for the upcoming first-person shooter video game as they have released multiple trailers this week. Furthermore, game developer Sledgehammer Games has revealed some details on what to expect as "Call of Duty: WWII" nears its release date.

Just a few days after Activision released the campaign trailer for the upcoming game title, "Call of Duty: WWII" received four more videos that emphasized each of the four squad members that will be featured.

The main characters of "Call of Duty: WWII" are Red Daniels, Pierson, Turner, and Zussman. The character trailers focused on their background and their drive for participating in the war. Red was reared in a rural farm before getting caught in the middle of a war, while Zussman is his loyal best friend. Turner acts as the squad's leader, and Pierson's role is to keep the team in line with his stern personality.

"Zombies will take place in a quiet Bavarian village in Germany in the later years of WWII," Sledgehammer Games' senior director Jon Horsley told PlayStation Blog. "Players will be transported to a horrifying corner of the town, where bloody sewers, evil laboratories, and ancient tombs will reveal their dark secrets. It's an immersive thrill ride, and developing the canvas and the environment the player is immersed in was a fun challenge for our team."

Horsley explained that "Call of Duty: WWII" was specially developed to cater to both the old and new fans. They also have guides at the ready for players who might be new to fighting against the undead. All in all, "Call of Duty: WWII" is shaping up to be everything the gaming community expects it to be.

"Call of Duty: WWII" is set to be released on Nov. 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. More details are expected in the coming weeks.
