Independent MP and former Liberal Pat O'Brien, who left the Liberal Party in opposition to the party's favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, announced last Friday in Toronto the endorsement of various candidates running in Ontario by Vote Marriage Canada.
The recently added candidates included: Lois Brown (Newmarket-Aurora); John McKay, M.P. (Scarbourough-Guildwood); Paul Szabo, M.P. (Mississauga South); John Capobianco (Etobicoke-Lakeshore); Arnjeet Sangha (Mississauga-Brampton South); and Joe Comuzzi, M.P. (Thunder Bay-Superior North)

Vote Marriage Canada has compiled a list of candidates from every province and territory across the country that support the traditional definition of marriage.
O'Brien commented that all the candidates listed had taken a stance and had "given clear indication of supporting marriage as the legal union of one man and one woman in the next Parliament."
LifeSiteNews.com reported through information accessed by the Canadian Press that during 2005, one of the most concerning issues Canadians brought to their government was that of re-defining marriage.
Phone calls, letters, and emails addressed to Prime Minister Paul Martin displayed "a significant effort on the part of the Canadian public to express opposition to changing the traditional definition of marriage," according to LifeSiteNews.
Vote Marriage Canada is a non-partisan campaign to inform Canadians about where candidates stand, and is continuing its effort to support and restore the position of traditional marriage in Canada.
"This is the foundation of families and Canadian society," campaign organizers stated.
