Two Swedish inmates in a psychiatric facility near Katrineholm are hoping to get married – both convicted of gruesome murders and branded a 'cannibal' and a 'vampire.'

Twenty-three year old Michelle Gustafsson is convicted of having stabbed a father of four to death in Stockholm in 2010. According to The Local, a publication translating the Swedish newspaper "Expressen," Gustafsson even wrote about killing people on her personal blog and put up pictures of herself with a bloodied mouth brandishing a knife and a power saw, earning her the nickname "Vampire Woman."

The man she hopes to marry is 33-year old Isakin Jonsson, nicknamed "the Skara Cannibal," who killed his former girlfriend and mother of five, Helle Christensen. He is said to have cut off her head with a knife, and then eaten some parts of her body. He was convicted in March 2011 and found to be suffering from severe mental illness after a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation.

The man apparently showed no remorse during the trial, and could not explain why he committed the gruesome crime.

"That's something I also wonder about. I trust the doctors. There was no motive whatsoever. We were a couple with a future together. I've never felt this way with a girl before," Jonsson said during the trial.

Gustafsson and Jonsson found each other when they were sent to the same psychiatric facility and started chatting on an Internet chat room, getting to know each other and eventually making plans to get married.

It is not clear, however, if their request will be granted, or when each of them will be released. They are both serving non-fixed sentences, but there are allegedly patients who have spent more than 20 years inside the clinic.

The couple has insisted that, if released, they want to live a peaceful life together.

"I love Michelle. I have never met anyone like her. I'd like to lead a non-criminal life," Jonsson expressed.

"We want to get to live together, keep dogs and spend time on our hobbies, piercing and tattoos," Gustafsson added about their future plans.
