'Captain America 2' Spoilers: International Versions Feature Different Culture References

New Captain America 2 spoilers hit the internet this week that reveal the differences between the U.S. and international versions.

In an early scene in "The Winter Soldier" sequel the hero examines a list of cultural occurrences or landmarks that he missed while being frozen since World War II.

The U.S. version includes such classic American pop culture such as "Star Wars," disco, Steve Jobs, the moon landing, "I Love Lucy," Thai food, "Rocky" and the "Troubleman" soundtrack.

The U.K. version features a list that better reflects its culture as it includes The Beatles, World Cup Final, and Sean Connery. The U.K. list also features Star Wars, but it isn't crossed out like it is in the U.S. version.

Other markets such as Australia will have its own custom list that will include Steve Irwin and other staples of its culture, according to SlashFilm. South Korea will have soccer player Ji-Sung Park, Oldboy and Dance Dance Revolution.

Iron Man 3 went even further as entirely different scenes were filmed for the Chinese market.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" takes place two years after the events of "The Avengers" and hits theaters April 4.

Many cast members return for the new sequel as Chris Evans will play Captain America, Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow, and Sebastian Stan will play Bucky, Cap's former partner who was thought to have died in the first film.

Anthony Mackie will also star in the film as Falcon.

"The Winter Soldier" is one of many comic book movies that will be released this year. Other films based on Marvel heroes such as "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will also hit theaters in 2014. This latest Captain America film will also serve as a lead in for the next Avengers.
