'Captain America 3' Cast News: Will The Hulk Appear in Civil War?

Marvel's upcoming film, "Captain America: Civil War," has long been touted as a "mini-Avengers" movie with reported participations from a huge number of Earth's Mightiest Heroes including Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson) and several others.

Needless to say, there would also be Robert Downey, Jr.'s Tony Stark/Iron-Man whom Chris Evans' Steve Rogers/Captain America will come in conflict with over some National Super-Hero Act issue.

But one of the biggest unconfirmed aspects of "Captain America 3" is the inclusion of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk.

Filming for the third installment of the standalone superhero franchise is already well underway but reports on Hulk's participation are scarce and far from being officially confirmed.

Ruffalo, however, previously cited Downey's words saying that he will be making an appearance, in some capacity, in the upcoming film. Now, in an interview with HitFix, the actor has offered an update to his past statement.

"If Robert Downey, Jr. says I'm in 'Captain America,' I'm in 'Captain America' dammit," Ruffalo told Screen Rant. "And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script. At this point, I'm told that I'm in it by Robert, which I'll take as biblical, but I just haven't heard or seen from production yet."

Screen Rant speculated that the character "is too essential a figure in the MCU and too much of a fan-favorite" to be excluded in Civil War. They also pointed that Stark might also need some help from his "brother in science" in taking on the conflict with Cap.

"Captain America: Civil War" is slated to open in theaters May 6, 2016.
