'Captain America 3' News, Update: Marvel Announces Movie Title, Confirms Storyline Speculations
Months have passed by and diehard comic book fans have been battling over what the next Captain America movie will be about. Now, everything is settled when Marvel's two huge stars announces that it will be titled "Captain America: Civil War."
The news consequently confirmed the speculations regarding a Tony Stark/Iron Man versus Steve Rogers/Captain America storyline which was previously reported.
According to Hypable, Marvel Studio's head Kevin Feige brought out Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans on to the stage to introduce the "Civil War" title in a closed-door event.
In addition, the said event also disclosed the release dates and logos of other upcoming titles like "Black Panther," "The Inhumans," and "Captain Marvel."
The forthcoming "Captain America 3," if it will be based on the comic books, will feature the conflict between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers over the Superhero Registration Act. The U.S. Government's Act will force any individual with superhuman abilities to identify themselves and register their identities. They also have to get a "license" before they do their "superhero" jobs.
In the said fiction, Captain America will be against the act as he thinks it would be curtail the civil liberties of the superhuman citizens. It can also endanger the lives of their family and loved ones given that their identities are already revealed or made known.
Tony Stark, meanwhile, supports the initiative. He reasoned out that it would be good for the superheroes as it will give them the needed training and deeper sense of purpose.
Said to be released alongside DC Comic's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to hit the theaters May 6, 2016.
