'Captain America: Civil War' spoilers, news, cast: Who takes sides in the Captain America vs Ironman face-off?

"Captain America: Civil War" seems to be building as the biggest of the Captain America franchises. Continuous updates reveal that there will be a face-off between Captain America, played by Chris Evans, and Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr.

For fans of the "Avengers" movies, it will certainly be a treat for them. Although the full assembly of the superhero team is not set to happen until 2018, there will be plenty of them in the "Civil War" that will kick off the summer of 2016. Screenrant reports that Jeremy Renner recently tweeted a series of promotional art that shows off the characters that can be expected to make an appearance. The promo also clearly divides the two groups, and fans can see who's on whose side.

From what can be seen, there will be a return of familiar faces, such as Bucky, Scarlett Witch, and Falcon, who will be alongside Captain America, and another main member of the Avengers, Hawkeye. An addition to his group would be Ant-Man, who has not particularly joined the Avengers in the past movies.

As for Iron Man's team, it will be gaining new characters that have never been introduced in the previous movies or are yet to have their own solo films in the late 2016. Some of these faces would be Black Panther and Doctor Strange. Don Cheadle will also be reprising his role as James "Rhodey" Rhodes as he takes Tony Stark's side with Black Widow. Although not appearing in any of the art news is Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who will be very likely to make a cameo. However, his role and how he fits into the story are unconfirmed for now.

Speaking of fresh, another new image to the audience would be Hawkeye's noticeably redesigned and improved costume. Renner has already expressed his favor for this new outfit, and it is clear why as it looks more practical with the addition of a full sleeve, more armor protection, and more weapons. It is also more eye-catching with the addition of more colors.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
