Carlos Condit News: 'The Natural Born Killer' Considering Retirement After Loss To Robbie Lawler At UFC 195
Former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit is considering retirement after his disappointing loss to undisputed champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 195 on Saturday night.
"The Natural Born Killer" fell short in the judges' scorecards, losing a narrow split decision verdict with a tally of 48-47, 47-48, and 47-48. It was a fight that many had disagreed on the outcome, as they believe that Condit should have won the fight.
Even UFC president Dana White says he thought Condit won the fight, three rounds to two. For his part, the 31-year-old fighter out of the famed Jackson-Winklejohn Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico is already looking ahead after his most recent fight.

During the post-fight press conference (which was reported by MMA Fighting), Condit says given the fight's outcome, he is now considering hanging up his gloves for good.
"This whole time, 40 professional fights, MMA and kickboxing," Condit says in the report. "I don't know. I came up short tonight. I don't know. It was, tonight was kind of a do-or-die moment for my career and I was all in."
"If I got that strap, I was going to keep fighting," he added. "If I didn't, like I didn't, I have to see if I can continue to do this."
Condit has enjoyed an illustrious professional fighting career. He began fighting in professional mixed martial arts competitions in 2002, then worked his way up to the big leagues.
In 2007, he became the welterweight champion of another Zuffa-owned mixed martial arts promotion company World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC). He was able to defend the title a total of three times through 2008, before being absorbed by the UFC a year after.
In the UFC, he holds a record of 7-5 and has gone through the toughest opponents, such as veteran Nick Diaz, former title challenger Thiago Alves, and former long-time champion Georges St-Pierre. He currently holds a record of 30-9, with 28 victories by stoppage.
