Carlos Santana, Homeless Former Band Mate Reunite: 'God Has A Way' (VIDEO)

Carlos Santana caught up with his former bandmate Marcus Malone who is now homeless during a special taped segment on CNN this week.

The two musicians played together in the Blues Band group until 1969 when Malone was forced to quit due to legal and personal issues. Shortly thereafter, Santana's group got their first big break at Woodstock and struck international fame.

However, the future continued to dim for Malone, who was once known as "Malone the Magnificent."

After 40 years apart, Santana reached out for Malone after viewing a segment of "People Behaving Badly" where Malone was rummaging through piles of trash, according to KRON-TV San Francisco.

During the segment, Malone told San Francisco reporter Stanley Roberts that he was a former member of Santana's group. Consequently, Roberts was able to reunite the band mates during a touching clip.

"You don't know how afraid I am to let you see me," Malone told Santana during the video.

He later added, "You don't know how hard I prayed to get to see you."

"God has a way," the multi-award-winning guitarist replied. "We cherish you. It's an honor to be in your presence."

Santana, 66, has won 10 Grammy Awards and was named number 20 on Rolling Stones' list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

Following the segment on KRON 4, Santana revealed that he wants to get Malone off of the streets and maybe even back on stage with him again.

"His spirit is indomitable," Santana said.

"I want to offer him a place to stay in an apartment, get him some clothes, and just get him off the street," he told CNN on Sunday. "I want to offer my brother Marcus Malone an opportunity to record on the next album with the original band, with Greg Rolie."

Furthermore, another Santana Blues Band original member, Rod Harper, spoke out about wanting to reunite with Malone, according to Entertainment Weekly.
