Carrie Underwood Shows Leg at ACM Awards

Country music icon Carrie Underwood took a cue from actress Angelina Jolie's fashion sense at this year's ACM Awards.

The 47th Academy of Country Music Awards took place in Las Vegas Sunday night at the MGM Grand. On the red carpet, Underwood donned a strapless ivory gown and gave "Jolie-ing" a try.

The meme went viral after actress Angelina Jolie was photographed with her leg thrust out of a black gown at the Oscars earlier this year. Imitating Jolie's pose, Underwood posed for pictures with one leg peeking out of her Abed Mahfouz gown's slit.

Underwood is well known for her dress choices during public events. At the Grammy Awards this year, the country singer stole the show with a long-sleeved dress by designer Gomez-Gracia. The gown attracted thousands of comments on social media sites.

On Twitter Sunday, Underwood's fans sounded off about her ACM Awards look.

Caleb posted, "Carrie Underwood is so hot!"

"If I could be any person in the world it would be Carrie Underwood #ACA Awards," wrote Peri.

The "American Idol" alum kicked off the ceremony with a hard-charging rock-n-roll performance of her new song "Good Girl."

Of Underwood's performance, Clever posted, "Who's tuned in to the #ACM Awards?! Carrie Underwood just blew the house down… Love us some 'Good Girl.'"

The ACM Awards celebrated today's country music artists, such as Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean, as well as Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson.

Early winners of Sunday night were Miranda with Album of the Year and Lady Antebellum with Group of the Year. Toby Keith earned the award for Video of the Year, while Aldean took home Single of the Year. Thompson Square earned Duo of the Year.

Power couple and country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill also attended the event.

The star-studded event also saw "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth and actor Ashton Kutcher serve as presenters.
