Casey Anthony is reportedly planning a move to Costa Rica almost a year after being acquitted in the trial for the murder of her late two year old daughter Caylee, it has been revealed.
The 26-year-old, who must reside in Florida until her 12-month probation comes to an end, is likely to move in pursuit of a fresh start, according to Radar Online.
"Casey is counting the days until her probation ends. She has been researching countries that she could move to and Costa Rica is at the top of the list," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
"Casey wants to live in a warm tropical setting and the cost of living is extremely low in Costa Rica. She wants to put as much distance as possible from Florida. Costa Rica appeals to her because Americans are warmly embraced by the locals, and she feels this is the best place to start a new life" the insider added.
The news comes just days after it was reported that Anthony is now virtually unrecognizable after gaining an excessive amount of weight.
"Casey has been venturing out on a much more frequent basis recently because she is almost unrecognizable," a source told Radar.
"Casey has gained a great deal of weight in the past six months and her face is extremely puffy. She hasn't needed to wear a disguise because of the physical transformation. Casey is finding comfort in food and she is clearly eating a lot. She typically goes out at night to rent DVDs and pick up food to go from restaurants," the source added.
Anthony, who was baptized in March and embraced her faith to start a new beginning, has been living very cautiously in Florida while anxiously waiting for her probation to end.
She remains on probation until later this summer after pleading guilty to writing bad checks, and believes that a move to Costa Rica will promote her safety.
"[Casey] is very careful to not linger anywhere ... and tries not to make eye contact with anyone. Casey doesn't feel safe anywhere and just wants to leave the country and begin a new life," the source explained.
