After being acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony is counting down the days until her release from prison on July 17. But she may not come out the same person it seems.

With an overwhelming amount of outrage and anger amongst the media and the public, Casey may disguise herself in order to avoid the public eye.

A source close to the defense team shared with the Chicago Sun-Times that the 25-year-old is considering various disguises to alter her appearance. Though cosmetic surgery was a favored option, Casey rejected the idea.

“Casey really does not completely understand the depth of hatred out there,” the insider said.

“She’s fully aware of the various death threats of course but she thinks that’s isolated to relatively few nutcases.”

“A few” appears to be underestimated, as many have expressed their disapproval of the not guilty verdict rendered by the 12-member jury.

In fact, Judge Belvin Perry even decided to seal the names of the jurors in order to protect their safety. If the jury themselves have been receiving much criticism and protest, there’s no telling what some may do when Casey Anthony finally gets out.

Expected to live under a pseudonym in a secret location, almost like “living in a witness protection-like program,” Casey hopes to avoid being harassed.

Whether or not she can achieve peace and anonymity is left in question.

The defendant is expected to be released through another exit from the Orange County Jail or may even be routed to a different facility in order to avoid any potential danger.

Despite all of the antagonism, many have offered her book and movie deals, as well as TV appearances to speak about her experience.

Katie Couric may even be the first to speak with Casey, “as her first big get” for her move to ABC, according to E! Online.

But Jeff Ashton, one of the lead prosecutors on the case, previously stated on NBC’s Today, “Even if Casey got out of jail and wrote a book and said [what happened to Caylee], I don’t know that any of us will really know if we could believe it or not.”

Though her story may not be believable, there’s no question that the interest will be high.

Her daughter, Caylee Anthony, was last seen on June 16, 2008. Her remains were found in the woods near the Anthony home in Florida in December that year.
