Casey Anthony to Fix Mental Health While Lawyer Deals With Interview Offers

Casey Anthony may be declining interview offers for the next few months in order to first address her purported mental issues before appearing on national television.

Sources told TMZ that Anthony would be seeking professional treatment for several reasons, including post-traumatic stress following the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, whom prosecutors believe was murdered by her mother.

She would also be treated for “obvious mental health issues,” TMZ reported, in regards to her actions during the search for her daughter.

Anthony had lied to her family and friends repeatedly about the whereabouts of Caylee in 2008, sending investigators on a “wild goose chase” in search of her missing daughter, when all the while she knew that Caylee was dead.

Anthony now realized that her behavior during that time was “questionable” and also recognized that her unstable mental health started long before the death of her daughter.

During the month-long trial where Anthony was accused of murder, defense attorneys tried to redirect the blame onto Anthony’s family and suggest that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool.

Jose Baez, lead defense attorney, revealed to the jury that both her father and her brother sexually molested her at a young age and that her father, George, was the one who convinced her to cover up the proposed accidental death.

The Anthonys had a long dysfunctional history, according to the attorneys, which contributed to the defendant’s odd behavior surrounding the death of her daughter.

Psychiatrists and therapists would most likely have to start from the beginning, and treat the 25-year-old for deep-rooted issues involving her family, in addition to addressing the death of her daughter.

TMZ further explained that a source directly connected with Anthony told them that she would also need counseling for the three years she spent in jail while awaiting her sentencing.

Due to the high profile nature of the case, Anthony was placed in solitary confinement in a 4x9 foot jail cell, 23 hours a day, for her protection. “It messed with her head,” the source shared with TMZ.

As Anthony receives medical help, her attorney Baez would reportedly for the time begin negotiating offers made for interviews. Most recently, Larry Flint supposedly offered $500,000 for the tot mom to pose in Hustler Magazine.

Baez, however, denied that any negotiations were being made in a statement issued by his publicist.

The Jose Baez law firm gave no immediate response to The Christian Post when asked about whether their client would seek professional help or not, and also did not comment on whether Anthony was capable of answering questions at this point in her health.

Anthony’s whereabouts after being released from jail last month are currently unknown, with speculations that she has fled the country. But she may in fact be forced to return to Orlando, Fla., within the next few days in order to serve probation for check fraud charges, which she was charged with last year.
