'Castle' Season 6 Spoilers: A Death and A Wedding Set for Finale?

"Castle" returns to ABC tonight with one last installment entitled "Veritas" ahead of the season six finale next week.

Fans of the crime drama have speculated over what the final two episodes of season six will have in store, including rumors that Kate Beckett (portrayed by Stana Katic) may be killed during an operation that goes horribly wrong. Katic herself pointed to at least one death on the television series with a recent Twitter post.

"S6 finale had us saying goodbye to a number of colleagues today," she wrote on the social media site. "Lucky to work with these incredibly talented actors."

And on April 12, the actress added, "Last day of filming. Quite a gift working with this crew & cast. Thank you everyone for watching! All the best, Stana."

The actress seemed to point toward a farewell from the television series. Nevertheless, "Castle" fans are especially curious if Beckett and Castle (Nathan Fillion) will get married this season, or at all. It is clear in the season finale synopsis that the engaged characters "prepare for a wedding," but "an unwelcome surprise may ruin things," according to TVGuide.com. The rest of the synopsis for the finale, "For Better or Worse," also previews that Castle and Beckett go on a "zany adventure" featuring masked men and motorcyclists along the way.

Also offering clues about the highly anticipated wedding, "Castle" star Seamus Dever discussed the possible groomsmen on the show. The actor, who portrays Detective Kevin Ryan, told Zap2It.com that his character is competing with Javier Esposito (Jon Huertas) to be Castle's best man.

"Esposito and Ryan are vying to be Castle's best man, and it's all this sort of mistaken communication that's amusing, because Castle doesn't catch on that we're competing and doesn't know why we're sort of acting like sycophants around him," the actor explained.

"Castle" airs on ABC Mondays at 10 p.m. EST. The synopsis for "Veritas" is as follows: "Beckett jeopardizes her life and Castle's when she conducts a secret investigation linked to her mother's homicide."
