'Castle' Season 7 News: Episode 3 Recap, Episode 4 'Child's Play' Plot Revealed

The season 7, episode 3 of "Castle" titled "Clear and Present Danger" shows Castle and Beckett in their element as they work together to solve another case.

Caskett is well and good and appears to have recovered after the traumatizing events from the past two months. They appear to be affectionate though they have agreed to postpone any wedding talks for at least a month. As the show creators have hinted that fans may see a wedding before the year is over, the episode temporarily distracts from the botched wedding with truly hilarious scenes from Castle and Beckett and the bromance between Ryan and Esposito.

In the episode, an insurance claims adjuster turned pool hustler is killed inside his apartment. The killer leaves $20,000 in cash and no trail. The video surveillance shows the door opening and closing by itself, which jumpstarts Castle's overactive imagination and wild theories.

When Castle and Beckett return to the apartment, they are attacked by what appears to be an invisible force and at first Castle thinks that Beckett is pretending to get strangled, but when he sees that it's real he helps her fight it. Later, they both lie to Capt. Gates instead of admitting that they were attacked by an invisible man.

Soon, they find out that the victim was working in a lab and before he died, he was actually working on making an invisibility suit. He was apparently using his ex-girlfriend's expertise in marine biology to help his research, but when he didn't want to get back together with her, she kills him while wearing the invisibility suit.

Meanwhile, Ryan has mentioned that he was worried about his finances ever since his daughter was born. Esposito suspects that Ryan might be cheating on Jenny when he arrives at the office reeking of booze and has a bit of body glitter on him. Later, Ryan admits that he has been moonlighting as a bouncer at a male strip club. Relieved, Esposito mischievously gifts him with some very tiny underwear.

Here's the official synopsis for episode 4, titled "Child's Play."

"When an ice cream vendor is shot, evidence leads Beckett and Castle to believe that an unknown second grader may have information about the case. Castle goes undercover at an elementary school to try and identify the second grader, but nothing goes as planned," it reads.
