'Castle' Season 7 Recap, Spoilers: Castle Investigates Death of An Action Star

In the previous episode of the hit police procedural drama series "Castle" Season 7, fans witnessed a twisted conspiracy murder ending up in a hostage crisis aboard a subway car. Esposito (Jon Huertas) ended up being one of the held hostages.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team investigated the suspect's motive and find out that he is actually tied in to a much greater conspiracy. He also had a bomb strapped to his chest.

The bomb, as revealed, is not just any bomb as it contains the H5N1 virus. All the while, Esposito also realized that he wants more out of his relationship with Dr. Lanie Parish (Tamala Jones).

Forward to this week, spoiler reports suggest that Castle (Nathan Fillion) will get involved in the investigation to the murder of one his favorite B movie star.

A synopsis for episode 9 titled, "Last Action Hero," was posted in The Futon Critic.

"When the star of Castle's favorite '80's action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim's secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes. Krista Allen and Ted McGinley will gust star as Naomi Duvray and Brock Harmon, respectively," the summary reads.

Other news related to the TV program also indicates that there will only be a few more episodes before the show's winter finale kicks off. According to Hypable, the season-ender will revisit the mystery behind Castle's disappearance from the original wedding featured in the previous season's finale.

 "Castle" Season 7 Episode 9 titled "Last Action Hero" airs this Monday, Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
