CBInternational Changes Name to WorldVenture
Colorado-based CBInternational changed its name to WorldVenture this month after touching the lives of tens of thousands over the past six decades.
A ministry that serves churches in fulfilling their missions mandate by joining and developing alliances recently changed its name this month after touching the lives of tens of thousands over the past six decades.
Effective June 11, 2005, Colorado-based CBInternational has become WorldVenture a name that the ministry says conveys the scope of our work together, and the excitement of the Great Commission purpose we share.
Since 1943, God has used CBInternational to bring many people to himself, start thousands of new churches and equip many leaders for his church, said WorldVentures President, Hans Finzel, in a recent statement.
Thats a great heritage and a wonderful legacy and its been accomplished because of powerful partnerships in the United States and around the world donors, missionaries, churches, nationals and other mission organizations all working together, Finzel stated. God has moved through this ministry in response to our prayer, and the prayer of those who stand with us. Great things have been achieved because of the sacrificial giving of individual donors and partnering churches. People have come to Christ because of the tireless service of so many.
According the WorldVenture president, those who partnered with the ministry share in CBInternationals history and are also part of WorldVentures future.
We are not simply changing a name; we are reshaping a ministry for maximum impact throughout this world God so greatly loves. Its all about lives being touched and changed for eternity, as people of all nations embrace the truth of the gospel by faith.
To achieve what we believe God has called us to do, we must work together in a new level of partnership around the globe, Finzel added.
Currently, WorldVenture reports that it has more than 500 missionaries in more than 60 areas around the world and more than 15,000 donors and partnering churches.
The ministry's worldwide objective is to serve churches in fulfilling their missions mandate by joining and developing alliances that:
- Multiply followers of Jesus Christ;
- Demonstrate compassion;
- Establish reproducing churches;
- Equip leaders for the church; and
- Cultivate international partnerships.
