Chelsea Transfer Rumors, News: Jose Mourinho's 'Silent Treatment' Could Mean Chelsea Legend Is Leaving

Earlier reports indicated Jose Mourinho's desire to keep two of the best goalkeepers in the world in his team but that might not happen as Petr Cech will be more than willing to give way for the younger Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea legend Cech was previously disappointed with how Mourinho kept him in the dark about his decision on who's going to lead the team's Premier League opener against Burnley, according to the Mirror U.K..

Courtois, on the other hand, confirmed that he was as well surprised by the decision as he only learned the picking 60 minutes before the kickoff at Turf Moor. This came off as a harsh blow for the 32-year-old keeper.

Cech, who has consistently been the no.1 shot-stopper at Stamford Bridge for more than a decade, is now left in doubts concerning his standing in the team.

However, experts speculated that this could be an opportunity for the top-rated keeper to explore other options as it was reported that a number of major teams in the league are now vying for his skills.

In the same reports, it was found out that Monaco are actually putting together a hefty sum of £10 million package to lure the keeper to sign a three-year deal with their team.

Cech's shaky situation with the Blues also alerted Paris Saint-Germain and is also now in the move to make an offer.

Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois, who was previously hesitant to pen the five-year contract with Chelsea until he can confirm his no.1 status in the team, is now slated to sign the deal.

With regards to his rival, Courtois hoped that Cech would stay for a quite different reason – as a mentor and back-up.

"Of course, in training I can still learn from him [Cech] because he has a lot of experience, he can give me good tips about the Premier League, things I might not know in the start," Courtois told the Independent U.K.
