As for Chelsea, they are looking to win the first title of the season to reassert their claim as the best team in English football.

The FA Cup winners, Arsenal are hoping that this year could be their year to challenge for the title. They've had a long drought in the Premier League but have made strides after winning the FA Cup in consecutive years and the Community Shield last year

They are currently still in talks to acquire new players to help them break through the top teams in the league and a win over Chelsea will come a long way to helping them in their confidence.

Since their FA Cup win over Aston Villa to end last season, the Gunners have played four exhibition matches so far, winning them all.

They have shown a knack of scoring as shown by their battles against the Singapore Selection team, Everton and Lyon – as they forced a total of 13 goals in those three games.

Arsenal closed their pre-season with a 1-0 win over Wolfsburg.

On the other hand, Chelsea are currently the best team in England after comfortably winning the English Premier League last season.

Keeping the entire core of the team intact, the same level of performance is still expected for Jose Mourinho's men as they enter a new season.

They should be able to still dominate the scene and a win over Arsenal will add another feather on their caps/

As for the English champions, it hasn't been a flawless pre-season so far as they have won four of their five exhibition matches, losing to United States outfit New York Red Bulls 4-2.

Moreover, their last two wins came by way of penalty shootout against European powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

However, with the summer behind them, expect Chelsea to return to their usual selves as the season starts.
