Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne Baby Name: Taylor or Alfie?

One week since giving birth, Girls Aloud star Cheryl Payne still does not have a name for her baby boy. However, fans have been going crazy trying to guess what his name will be, and it looks like the frontrunner is Taylor.

On March 22, Cheryl got everyone thrilled when she announced that she had finally given birth to a healthy baby boy. Since the beginning, the actress had kept mum about her pregnancy and even her most avid fans did not know anything about how things were going for her.

Posting on Instagram on Saturday, Cheryl was happy to announce the birth of her son. However, she said their little bundle of joy still did not have a name yet. Recent reports claim that Cheryl and Liam Payne have been fighting over what name they should give their child and that is why they haven't picked out any name yet.

As fans go wild trying to place their bets on the baby boy's name, reports suggest that the most popular guess as of now is Taylor. Considering Liam's previous interview with Hits Radio, it looks like Taylor is a good choice.

In the said interview, he said, "I like the name Taylor. Taylor's pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That's what I'm going to call my first child if I had children."

However, some fans speculate that the name could be Alfie. This also sounds like a safe bet, as Cheryl told GQ magazine in 2015 that she wanted that name for a baby boy.

"Of course I've thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy," she said.

While fans are excited to catch a glimpse of Cheryl and Liam's baby, there is no assurance that they'll see him again soon after the first Instagram photo posted by Cheryl last week. Both celebrities have been very vocal about their plan to secure the privacy of their child, even turning down multi-million offers to debut their baby publicly.
