Chicago Blackhawks vs Detroit Red Wings takes place in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Game 4 on Thursday night, with the Blackhawks looking to go on the road and level the series again after falling behind on Monday night. The last time the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup was in 2009, and they will be increasingly confident that they can accomplish that same feat again. They are coming into this game with a fantastic 3-1 win in Game 3 to go ahead in the series 2-1.

Not many people expected the Red Wings to get this far this season, but they are continuously proving their critics wrong, and if they can win at home again tonight then they will be on the brink of an amazing series win against Chicago.

But that is easier said than done, and the Blackhawks in many people's minds are expected to roar back into the series again tonight. If they can claim a win on the road tonight then they will pull things back all square heading into Game 5 and will surely be favorites to take down the Red Wings.

If the Blackhawks are to do that then they will be hoping that Jonathan Toews can find his scoring touch again. As the Blackhawks' star players return they increasingly become likely to become too much for Detroit.

So this is potentially a huge game for both sides; another loss for the Blackhawks tonight and they will have to win three consecutive games without any room for any slip ups. However, if the Blackhawks win tonight then they should be able to push on and claim the win in what effectively would become a best of three series for the remaining games.
