Chicago Blackhawks vs New York Islanders Live Stream: Watch NHL Hockey Online

The New York Islanders try to end a three-game losing skid as they play the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center in the NHL. The match is on March 17, 2015 and starts at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Currently second in the Metropolitan Division, the Islanders have only won two of their last eight matches. Their most recent loss was a 3-1 defeat to the Montreal Canadiens.

They are still fourth in the East and if the playoffs started now they would face the Pittsburgh Penguins.

For the Blackhawks, they have won four of their last five and are on a two-game win streak.

Their most recent performance was an impressive 6-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Chicago are third in the Central Division and are only five points behind leaders St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators.

If the playoffs started today, they would be part of it and face the Predators.

This will be the final meeting between the two teams in the regular season. New York won the first 3-2 and will try to get a season sweep over Chicago.

In the match played at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Chicago drew first blood in the second period behind a Daniel Carcillo wrister.

However, it only took six seconds before Cal Clutterbuck erased the lead with a goal of his own.

Patrick Kane's potent backhand gave the Blackhawks the one-goal lead in the 44th minute but Kyle Okposo found a way to beat goalie Scott Darling to bring things back to level terms.

Only less than a minute after the tying goal, Lubomir Visnovsky powered home the winner for the Islanders to get two points in the contest.

The Islanders will have game-day decisions for Frans Nielsen and Nick Leddy, who have been out since the second week of March due to lower body and upper body injuries, respectively.

For the Blackhawks, Only Kane is injured but Joakim Norstrom will not be available due to a suspension. He is set to return on March 18.
