Chicago Bulls NBA 2015 News, Rumors: Bulls Fighting to Recover Ahead of Playoffs

The Chicago Bulls are having a roller coaster NBA season.

At times, the Bulls looked as if they could beat any team in the league. However, there are also times that they just seemed out of sync.

Throughout the season, Chicago's players have battled with a number of factors including injuries, inconsistencies, and lack of chemistry. Those problems were especially imminent during the past month, where three of the team's most reliable players went down with injuries. Derrick Rose injured his right knee, Jimmy Butler overextended his elbow, and Taj Gibson suffered an ankle injury.

However, in spite the lack of offensive power, rookie Nikola Mirotic has stepped up for coach Tom Thibodeau. Now that Butler has returned and Gibson is slowly gaining back his confidence in playing, Chicago may be on its way back to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

Another great news for Bulls fans is the latest development regarding Rose's injury.

According to a report by ESPN, the former MVP is now participating on 5-on-5 scrimmages with full contact.

In an interview with coach Thibs, he mentioned that Rose should just continue to play in practices.

"Yesterday we established a baseline, and keep building from there. It's just steady progress. He's got to continue to build. He's got a long way to go, and we have to focus in on what our team needs to do, so that's first and foremost right now," said the former Coach of the Year.

The 26-year-old superstar could be back in action by the time the post-season begins, according to reports.
