'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Spoilers: Patterson Questions Boden's Leadership In 'When Tortoises Fly'
In Episode 8: "When Tortoises Fly," airing Tuesday, Dec. 1, the normally calm Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is very close to losing his cool as he faces some tough obstacles approaching his trial. Previous episodes have shown Boden struggling against accusations made by Serena (Ilfenesh Hadera) that may cost him his job and even land him in jail.
Speaking to TV Fanatic, Walker hinted that there's about to be a lot of drama surrounding his character and that audiences will see a side of Boden they've never seen before.
In an exclusive Episode 8 clip from TV Line, Chili gets a taste of Boden's wrath when she comes in late for work. "That's strike one!" her boss yells.

Fans need to stay tuned to this week's episode as the motivating force behind the conspiracy against the Chief will be revealed. According to the episode synopsis, Captain Patterson (Brian J. White), not happy with the negative publicity Boden's case is bringing to his jurisdiction, will question Boden's ability to helm the firehouse. Boden, in turn will confront Maddox (Mark Hengst), suspecting that he is behind Serena's allegations, which are intended to discredit him during his impending trial.
Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) will attempt to help Chief Boden by reaching out to Maddox's lawyer, Jamie (Rachel Nichols), and trying to learn more about the case. The rest of the Chicago crew will continue with work as usual. Chili (Dora Madison) and Brett (Kara Killmer) will find an unconscious man in a garden. Evidence will later point to this man being connected to a crash that occurred not too long ago.
Otis will decide to take some time off from work to relax and have fun, but it won't take long for his rare attempt to unwind to come to a grinding halt.
