'Chicago Fire' Season 6 Spoilers: Firefighters Take the Law in Their Own Hands in Episode 2
Things get personal for Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) on the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire" season 6.
Titled "Ignite on Contact," this week's episode will see Chief Boden put more pressure on Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) as they investigate on the fire that almost killed his wife.
Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) settles into her new living situation, but unresolved feelings force her to doubt Hope's (guest star Eloise Mumford) true intentions. Meanwhile, Randall "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte) does everything he can to win a bet against Firehouse 87.

The promo offers a better look at the potential romance between Severide and Stella now that they are living under one roof. It also hints at how the Firehouse 51 squad will deal with the school fire that nearly killed Chief Boden's spouse Donna Robbins (Melissa Ponzio). She appears to be telling her husband to trust her, which means she could be the key to cracking the case.
In the season 6 premiere, Severide went back to his playboy days and started to get involved with Sylvie Brett's (Kara Killmer) friend, Hope. With Kidd still staying in his apartment, it looks like fans can expect yet another love triangle in the story as the two firefighters get closer to each other.
"Stella is going to be around for a while in his apartment," showrunner Derek Haas told TVLine. "The search for a new apartment is not quite going as quickly as she imagined it would be. But there are definitely feelings there, certainly feelings her way toward Severide, and over the course of the season, maybe she's the one who can live up to the archetype in his mind of who he's looking for."
The sixth season of "Chicago Fire" airs every Thursday night at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
