'Chicago Med' Season 2 Spoilers: Rhodes Resorts to Unethical Means to Save 2 Babies; Hastead Seriously Jealous over Manning's New Relationship with Med Student

Dr. Manning is done with the grieving for her late husband and starts a relationship with Jeff Clarke but Dr. Halstead is not happy about it.

A lot of changes were seen taking place at the emergency department of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center in the premiere of "Chicago Med" Season 2 last week. Dr. Connor Rhodes was having a hard time working with his new mentor, Dr. Latham. Dr. Will Halstead vent his jealousy over Dr. Natalie Manning on medical student Jeff Clarke.

Love triangle in the making

In the previous episode of "Chicago Med" Season 2, Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) accepted Clarke's (Jeff Hephner) invitation to go to his apartment and they had sex. It didn't escape the jealous Dr. Halstead's (Nick Gehlfuss) attention that there were sparks flying between them and became too harsh in his treatment with the medical student.

EPs Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider said in an earlier interview that Dr. Manning will really have a rough start in "Chicago Med" Season 2 because she will still be feeling like betraying her husband with her complicated relationship with Clarke, who happens to be the best friend of her late husband.

On the other hand, Dr. Manning has come to the moment in her life when she wants to put aside the mourning. She feels the need to be more socially active and have a restart on her life since it has been already a year since her husband died.

Complicated and connected cases

In episode 2 of "Chicago Med" Season 2 airing on Thursday, the focus will be on two important and complicated cases. According to the official synopsis released by NBC, Dr. Manning and Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) will be dealing with two complex cases of sick babies only to find out later that their cases are connected.

From the trailer of the upcoming "Chicago Med" Season 2 episode, both babies can be seen barely hanging by the thread. It looked like only one of them has the chance to be saved. In the end of the preview, Dr. Rhodes can be seen suggesting to Dr. Manning for them to try to save both babies but they have to do something extremely unethical in the process.

Homeless man

In the same episode of "Chicago Med" Season 2, Dr. Rhodes will also be working with Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) to treat a homeless man who has an upbeat way of looking at life. The man will be able to share some valuable insights that one of the doctors will learn something from.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) will become a mentor to a navy corpsman in the same "Chicago Med" Season 2 episode. Dr. Choi will be followed throughout the day as he treats his patients who have been victims of gang violence in the city.

Trial run on psychology

In the "Chicago Med" Season 2 premiere, Dr. Charles offered Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) to become a resident of psychology in the hospital. Although hesitant to take on the offer, Dr. Reese agreed to do a trial run on the new position. In the coming episode titled "Win Loss", the doctor will have an understanding of the delicate balance needed in becoming a psychologist.

The second episode of "Chicago Med" Season 2 airs on September 29 on NBC.
