'Chicago P.D.' Season 4 Spoilers, News & Update: Lindsay Breaks Voight's Heart By Spending More Time with Halstead But Continues to Cover for Him with Crowley

Lindsay continues to lean on Halstead and spend less time worrying about Voight

Last week marked the return of "Chicago P.D." Season 4 on NBC via a premiere episode that saw Erin Lindsay being pressured by Commander Crowley to tell the truth on what Hank Voight really did to his son Justin's killer.

Covering for Voight

Lindsay (Sophia Bush) has been duly warned by Crowley that her covering for Voight (Jason Beghe) comes at the expense of the department's reputation and her own career. Not knowing what else to do in the first episode of "Chicago P.D." Season 4, Lindsay went to her boyfriend Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and told him the truth. Halstead asked Lindsay to move in with him in the same episode.

Big shifts in relationships

According to "Chicago P.D." Season 4 spoilers, there will be a big shift in Lindsay's relationships with Halstead and Voight. Viewers must realize that things will never be the same after what happened to Lindsay and Voight last season. She would want to move on by spending more time with her boyfriend and less time worrying about her mentor.

This will somehow break Voight's heart when his student, who he has treated as his own daughter, decides to leave him. Another reason for the heartbreak is because Lindsay is the only person left in Voight's life in "Chicago P.D." Season 4.

Missing fiancé in a black ghetto

Wednesday's episode of "Chicago P.D." Season 4, the second for the season, will feature the department trying to locate a missing woman who happens to disappear in district 21's most dangerous neighborhood.

According to the official synopsis of "Made A Wrong Turn", patrol officer Kim Burgess played by Marina Squerciati and Tay (Li Jun Li), her new partner, will respond to a call where they discover a badly battered young man. Besides being beaten, the team learns that his fiancé is missing as well in "Chicago P.D." Season 4.

Public relations nightmare

The accompanying trailer for the second episode of "Chicago P.D." Season 4 shows that Crowley is worried about the missing woman's situation. This is so because she is a white woman who has gone missing at the heart of a black ghetto.

Another thing that has been causing pressure on Crowley about the case is its potential of becoming a public relations nightmare if the police department does not act quick enough to find the missing woman. But, things only get worse for the team in this "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode.

In hostile community

While trying to conduct their investigation in the black ghetto, Voight will try to walk in the hostile community that is filled with African Americans. They do not allow Voight to do his investigation in their community.

Elsewhere, it will be Lindsay's turn to ask Halstead a question. What it will be and if it has anything to do with moving in with him will be answered when "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode 2 airs on Wednesday, September 28.
