'Chicago PD – SVU – Chicago Fire' Crossover Episode Spoilers: 'Ted Bundy-esque Character' on the Loose

After the huge critical and ratings success of 2014's three-way episode crossover between "Chicago Fire," "Law & Order: SVU," and "Chicago P.D.," the hit NBC shows are now reported to be doing it again "later this season."

Fans of the trio will be joining forces again in the later part of their respective seasons.

"It's a real good one. Big swings, big stakes," Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. showrunner Matt Olmstead told Enstarz. "There's nothing really cemented yet, but we're definitely doing a big, big Chicago Fire-SVU-Chicago P.D. three-way crossover coming up around Episode 20."

The executive producer said that on his New York trip last week he met with SVU executive producer Warren Leight to discuss crossover plot details.

"There's a Ted Bundy-esque character who hunted in New York and hunted in Chicago, and it's the pursuit of a character like that," Olmstead said.

As compared to the first three-part event, Olmstead teased that the next and upcoming "Chicago Fire – SVU – Chicago PD" show will have a "more integrated storytelling" which will take fans back and forth between Chicago and New York City.

A short synopsis for the forthcoming three-way crossover was provided by the website and it reads:

"The case begins on Chicago Fire (Tuesday, 10/9c) when the team battles a house fire and Severide (Taylor Kinney) sees a man run into the burning building to get a mysterious box. The box appears to contain child pornography, and P.D.'s Voight (Jason Beghe) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) are called in to investigate."

"Chicago Fire" Season 2 airs every Tuesdays at 10/9c, "Law & Order: SVU" Season 16 shows every Wednesdays at 9/8c, and "Chicago P.D." Season 2 is also on Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
