The Chick-fil-A Bowl takes place on Tuesday as the Texas A&M Aggies play the Duke Blue Devils. It promises to be a fantastic game between two hugely competitive teams. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through free live stream (details below).
Today's big game marks the first time either the Aggies and the Blue Devils have played in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Another first for today's game is that this will also be the first time that Duke and Texas A&M have played each other in program history.
The Aggies have had a tough season; expectations were exceedingly high coming into this season as they had managed an 11-2 (6-2 SEC) record in their inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference. However, they were unable to match that this time around, and they slipped to 8-4 and a 4-4 SEC record this term.
Their more disappointing season has been due to their leaky defense, which has been inconsistent, as well as their weak offensive performances at times.
They had done well to hold onto their season until the last few weeks, entering the final fortnight with an 8-2 record, however, two straight road losses to end the season saw them slip to 8-4.
Nevertheless, head coach Kevin Sumlin is set to receive a six year extension, and he no doubt would love to take down a strong team such as the Duke Blue Devils today.
The Blue Devils closed the season with a 10-2 record (6.2 ACC) and gained the Coastal Division title. However, they did lose in the ACC Championship Game to Florida State 45-7, but at the same time no one can be disappointed with their successful season.
Duke will want to now see out a big win against a strong SEC team to consolidate their good work throughout this season.
