Chris Brown is reportedly ready to face Drake in a boxing ring after the respective singer and rapper were involved in a physical altercation at a New York City nightclub last month and offered millions to face off in a bout.
After reports surfaced about Brown and Drake being involved in a bottle-throwing incident that resulted in multiple injuries, celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman revealed that billionaire digital media entrepreneur Alki David would be interested in funding a televised bout between the two.
Feldman agreed to pay the winner of the fight $9 million, while giving the loser $1 million for participating. Recently, Brown was caught on camera saying that he would face the Young Money rapper in a boxing ring.
"Yea, I would," Brown told rumorfix.com cameras with a smile before driving off in a white luxury car. "I would do that."
David recently expressed his excitement about Brown's remarks, saying that the ball was now in Drake's court.
"We are very excited at FilmOn.TV that Chris Brown has accepted to fight his nemesis," David said in a www.FilmOn.TV press release. "Should Drake accept the $10 million challenge to go toe-to-toe for three rounds against Chris Brown, both fighters will be put through training leading up to the Las Vegas event in September. They will be trained by iconic names in professional boxing history."
David, a billionaire media mogul, initially offered each music artist $1 million, but decided to increase the offer in an attempt to lure the men into the ring. However, the mogul said that the winner would be encouraged to donate his earnings to a charity of his choice.
If neither men is determined a clear winner, audiences will be encouraged to vote on www.FilmOn.TV where the fight will also be streamed simultaneously with a pay-per-view televised broadcast. More than the money, David said he wants the two men to work out their differences that many believe were sparked by their respective relationships with chart-topping singer Rihanna.
"I want these guys to settle their fight started at that nightclub in New York over pop star Rhianna and have something good come out of it," David said.
