Chris Brown, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, may be looking to sue a fan who insisted that he assaulted her last month.
Deanna Gines accused Brown of shoving her to the floor at an Anaheim, California nightclub where he performed last month. While Gines was in the VIP section of the Heat Ultra Lounge where Brown performed, TMZ initially reported that she filed a police report when the singer assaulted her, which resulted in a hospital visit that determined she had torn ligaments in her legs.
However, sources close to Brown reportedly told HipHollywood.com that the singer's camp has already proven Gines' allegations to be false and may be looking to take legal action against her.
"(Brown's team) already proved the allegations to be false, and that the singer's team plans to sue Gines and hold her accountable if she proceeds," the source told HipHollywood.com recently.
The nightclub owner of the place where Brown performed has already given public statements alleging that the singer is innocent.
"Based on the information which we have gathered from our security company, mall security, and other party goers which were at HEAT on Saturday night; It is apparent that the alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is false," the Heat Ultra Lounge owner told TMZ in a story that was posted to Brown's Twitter page.
According to TMZ follow up reports, Gines attempted to rush on stage with Brown while he was performing. While security attempted to force her to exit due to inappropriate behavior, the 24-year-old club attendee took off her heels and attempted to throw them violently at security.
Brown took to his Twitter to clear his name when he first was accused in headlines.
"@TMZ please stop with the false stories. I don't usually comment but I didn't do anything," Brown wrote in a tweet that was later deleted. "Had a great show at powerhouse and a positive one."
Although he later deleted it, Brown tweeted about his faith helping him through the tough elements of the music industry.
"The devil is always working. If it wasn't for my faith and my fans, I would've quit music a long (sic) time ago," Brown tweeted. "I'm tired of it man….!"
