Chris Evans, Jenny Slate Dating: Are They Back Together? Couple Spotted Dining Together

Are Chris Evans and Jenny Slate back together? The two previously had a short-lived relationship but it looks like they're getting cozy again.

Evans and Slate dated while filming "The Gifted" in 2016 but after nine months, their relationship fizzled. Sources, however, spotted the exes together as they dined in Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 13.

"They seemed like a couple," the source said. "He reached across and touched her arm a couple of times. They seemed like normal people on a date."

Evans and Slate were once again seen together with Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan the following night. They dined at the Better Half restaurant and observers noted that Evans and Slate behaved like a couple.

The "Zootopia" actress recently opened up about breaking up with Evans in an interview with Vulture. She told the publication in April that they did not break up under bad terms but they aren't also speaking.

"I think it's probably best," Slate said. "I'd love to be his friend one day, but we threw down pretty hard. No regrets, though."

Slate isn't uncomfortable with being friends with a former romantic partner as she still has a good relationship with ex-husband Dean Fleisher-Camp. The two are actually working on a feature film, "Marcel."

Meanwhile, Evans remains mum on his personal life but before meeting Slate he told E! News in 2015 that he doesn't want to become a bachelor forever. He also desires to have a family but he knows that marriage is not something that one rushes into.

Evans, however, would rather discuss his movies in public. He's currently filming the fourth installment of the "Avengers" franchise as Captain America with Downey, Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) for a May 2019 theater release. The third movie, "Avengers: Infinity War," which is currently in post-production, will arrive in theaters on May 2018.
