Chris Kelly's family and friends have announced a public funeral to remember the late rapper following his sudden death on Wednesday.

The memorial plans were revealed on Saturday and stated that the rapper's fans will have a chance to mourn him during a public viewing scheduled for Wednesday, May 8.

Furthermore, the viewing in Atlanta will be followed by an actual funeral service for Kelly the next day, Murray Brothers Funeral Home confirmed.

Kelly was half-part the rap duo Kriss Kross, which also included Chris Smith. The duo was just 13-years-old when rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri discovered them.

The rapper was just 34-years-old when he died at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.

"It appears it may have been a possible drug overdose," said Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokesperson for the Fulton County police, according to the Associated Press.

Authorities said that their conclusion was drawn from statements received as well as evidence at Kelly's home.

Lester said that police were called to Kelly's home Wednesday afternoon before he was transported to the Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

No official cause of death has been released and the results of an autopsy are pending.

Kriss Kross was well known for their hit single "Jump" and even toured with Michael Jackson. Furthermore, the group was famous for their signature style. Kriss Kross would give performances while wearing their clothes backwards, causing many fans to copy the trend.

While they were never able to match the success of "Jump," Kriss Kross also had hit songs "Warm It Up" and "Tonight's tha Night."

Celebrities were among those mourning the rapper, earlier this week, including L.L. Cool J and Nicki Minaj.

"So sorry to hear that," started Minaj. "Sending love to his family. RIP Chris."

L.L. Cool J wrote, "R.I.P. Chris Kelly. This song is now officially dedicated to you. May GOD embrace your soul & lift up your family."

"Rest In Peace, Chris Kelly," Keri Hilson added. "Kriss Kross lives forever. Thank you for the memories. #AtlantasOwn"

Kevin Powell also mourned the loss, posting, "I media coached Kriss Kross right at the peak of their fame back in the day. Sad to hear half the duo now gone. #RIPChrisKelly"
