Chris Pratt Workout Delivers Huge Results: Actor Bulks Up and Slims Down Quickly
"Parks and Recreation" star Chris Pratt recently shared a picture of himself at the gym on social media. The picture shows an extremely in shape and toned Pratt, who seems a long way off from the candy and junk food-loving character he plays on the hit NBC sitcom.
Pratt slimed down and buffed up for his upcoming starring role in the superhero movie "Guardians of the Galaxy."
How did the actor achieve such body transformation results? It appears by hitting the gym and giving up indulgences that pack on the pounds-- in particular, beer.
Along with the picture, Pratt wrote, "Six months no beer. #GOTG." The hashtag "#GOTG" refers to his upcoming movie.
This is not the first time Pratt has undergone a body transformation for a role. He weighed 220 pounds when he played a professional baseball player in the movie "Moneyball," ABC news reported. The actor then gained 50 pounds for his part in the movie "10 Years."
But that heavier Chris Pratt did not last long, as the actor soon added muscle and dropped weight to play a Navy SEAL in the war movie "Zero Dark Thirty." He then went on to gain 40 pounds to play a lawyer in the upcoming Vince Vaughn movie "Starbuck," according to Vulture.
While many would assume that such body transformations and weight fluctuations would be hard on the actor, Pratt disagrees, and actually finds enjoyment in the process.
"I just like to gain weight and lose weight. It's a rollercoaster. I just want to do this," the accomplished actor told Vulture.
