Christian Artists Spread Christmas Cheer

The Christmas touring season has begun and there are many options for anyone looking to spend quality time with God through song and worship. Along with artists coming out with Christmas Albums, there are a few who are carrying the spirit of Christmas across the country. Here is a short list of some of the artists currently on tour during the Christmas season.

Chris Tomlin "And If Our God is for Us Tour"

Chris Tomlin will be performing songs from his new album, And If God is for Us... The three-time Grammy nominee and Dove Award winner has already charted at No. 10 on AC Indicator, No. 19 on AC Monitored, and No. 16 on National Christian Audience chart for his single "I Will Follow." In a recent Twitter post about his tour, he said "Rehearsals for Christmas tour today. I love these songs. It's gonna make for some great nights this month of Dec."

MercyMe "Lovewell Live Tour"

MercyMe is wrapping up their Lovewell Live tour performing songs off their latest project The Generous Mr. Lovewell where they have been singing songs off the new album including their recent single "Beautiful." Their official Christmas Show will be at Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colo., on Dec. 18.

TobyMac "Awake Tonight Tour"

TobyMac is currently wrapping up his Awake Tonight tour featuring his latest hit single "Hold On" which continues to climb the radio charts landing the No.11 spot on AC Indicator, No. 16 on National Christian Audience and No.17 on AC Monitored. His last show will be on Dec.12 at Salem, Va. He is co-headlining with fellow Grammy-nominated rock band Skillet with special guest Shonlock.

He is getting ready to kick off 2011 with his new tour "Winter Wonder Slam." Accompanying the multi-platinum selling artist will be Dove Award winning singer/songwriter Brandon Heath and Gotee Records' House of Heroes. It starts Jan. 14 in Tulsa, Okla., and continues through to Feb. 20 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Newsboys "The Very Merry Christmas Tour"

Newsboys will be joining Newsong and Kerrie Roberts for their Christmas tour featuring songs from their first Christmas album Christmas: A Newsboys Holiday. The tour is scheduled to kick off in Norfolk, Neb., on Dec. 2 and stop in 15-plus cities just this month alone. They will also be participating in the "Winter Jam Tour Spectacular" in 2011.
