Christian Band MXPX to Release Music Documentary 'Both Ends Burning'

Long time Christian punk rockers, MxPx, are releasing a music documentary titled, "Both Ends Burning," and will feature footage of the band from their 2008 world tour to their sold out March 2011 show in the band's hometown of Seattle.

"In this brutally honest depiction of the band, MxPx finds themselves at a crossroads in their career, struggling to find the balance between full time jobs, and the life of a touring musician," said MxPx's publicist in a press release.

The DVD will be available digitally Dec. 1, and the physical version will hit shelves Dec. 8 and will feature an additional 20 minutes of deleted scenes.

The press release gives a short synopsis of the film: "A documentary about both life and music, Both 'Ends Burning' is both a realization of how far the band has come, and how much further they want to go. Nearing two decades of playing together, it was late 2010 when drummer Yuri Ruley questioned being in the band and performed what he thought would be his last performance as a full-time member of MxPx at Wasted Space in The Hard Rock Cafe, Las Vegas. At the same time, guitarist Tom Wisniewski turned in his part-time status as well, taking on a full-time job in Bremerton."

In 2004, MxPx released a behind scenes DVD called "MXPX – B Movie." The film came with AC–EP, featuring a few of the bands’ hits in an acoustic format, as well as two new tracks.

The band has been a staple in Christian music for the last 19 years since their first release on Tooth&Nail Records in 1992, Pokinatcha. Since then, the group has released nine studio albums, and over 10 EP's and compilation albums.

Their break through and biggest album was 1995's Life In General, spawning some of the band's biggest hits.

MxPx is currently in the studio working on their new EP as a complete band again.
