Christian Students Generate Fund to Help Needy Children
According to a news report of Assemblies of God on August 13, nine students from North Central University in Minneapolis ran a marathon in June to raise money for the Swaziland Teen Challenge, an organization designed to support needy youth in Swaziland.
The money they collected was donated to build a steel structure that can accommodate 10 children. This event sets up a charity program which aims to support children whose parents have died of AIDS and who would otherwise be forced to live in the streets. Money generated from the program is sent to Teen Challenge center, the report says.
"We wanted to see what God could do in our lives," said Ryan Grabill, a student at NCU.

"We are delighted and encouraged that university students who trust the Lord for their own school fees are stepping out and sowing into the Lord's kingdom and to missions," an A/G minister said. "This is an opportunity to disciple children from a young age and prepare them to be people who will affect and change the nation. Their help needs to come from the church," he added.
