Christian Worker Receives $24,000 for Being Forced to Watch Porn in Brazilian Company

A Christian worker in Brazil, who was allegedly forced to watch porn movies by his company, has been granted a payout of approximately $24,000 USD by the Superior Labor Court (TST) this week.

According to magistrates, Elcio Milczwski, who worked in the Beverage Company of the Americas (Ambev) in Curitiba, Parana state, southern Brazil, was forced through various embarrassing situations by the company and has now been granted damages for what he endured.

Milczwski said that in 2003 and 2004, his manager used to bring women prostitutes to their meetings, and forced him to watch stripper shows and porn movies. The manager allegedly was attempting to use women to motivate employees in the hope that they would go on to accomplish company goals.

In the court filings Milczwski described that he was once tied down in his own office and forced to watch porn and stripper performances. He said his manager also organized parties in farms where women would be brought along and employees given "free coupons for girls" if they had reached their designated goals.

Ambev has appealed saying the damages being ordered are disproportionate to the harm suffered by the employee.

In a note sent to G1 publication, Ambev has spoken out any such inappropriate behavior by its management and has said that its policy is one of respect towards each employee.

The company's statement reads: "Ambev promotes respect and the value of team work. The company has more than 30,000 employees in Brazil and does not practice or tolerate any malpractice among its employees. The company's good work environment is reflected by numerous awards for its management of people, which Ambev has received each year."
