Christians and Muslims in Nigeria met last month to discuss Islamic Law (Shariah) and its implications in the nation's northern states.
The meeting took place in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, which was the first state to introduce Shariah in northern Nigeria in 1999. Since then, eleven other states have followed, applying Shariah criminal laws.
