Church Sound Workshop Dedicated to Improve Service Audio Goes on Tour
Steinberg, the developers of the popular music production software Cubase, has teamed up with Fits & Starts Productions, LLC, a producer of audio workshops for a series of its HOW-To Church Sound Workshops. Running in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, December 2004 through January 2005, the workshops were specifically designed to train church sound volunteers who desire more knowledge on how to improve sound during services and live performances.
Featuring audio engineer-author Mike Sokol, and produced by industry stalwart Hector La Torre, the workshops offer two days of instruction and hands- on training in live sound techniques and the latest audio technologies. The software of choice is Cubase System 4 for recording services, music and sermons and WaveLab for editing and mastering to MP3 for posting on the web and for CD/DVD distribution. This powerful software replaces common tape based systems and makes church service audio content more accessible to the community and easier to archive.
