'Cinderella' 2015 Trailer Video Released: Disney Reveals Absolutely Nothing in Teaser (WATCH)

The "Cinderella" teaser trailer for the live action film was released Thursday, and some critics seem a bit miffed that it doesn't show much. The trailer, which is a little over a minute, actually only shows the iconic glass shoe that the titular princes will receive during the movie.

The "Cinderella" teaser trailer starts with an up-close view of the crystalline slipper glimmering in the light. While the swelling orchestra music plays, the slipper slowly rotates, allowing us to see its elaborate design and fine craftsmanship. At the end, a tiny blue butterfly floats gently onto the shoe, becoming a part of the glass slipper as well.

And that's it.

The move for a vague trailer, most likely done because so many are familiar with the popular fairy tale and past Walt Disney productions, still set some critics off.

"Is this the most maddening movie trailer of all time?" USA Today asked.

"'Cinderella' Teaser Trailer Shoes Us Nothing," read the MTV.com headline. "Because it's literally just a shoe. Get it?"

"Disney released its first 'look' (and we use that term lightly) at the live-action 'Cinderella' film due out next year and there isn't much to look at," Boston.com complained.

Kenneth Branagh will direct, and the film stars Lily Allen of "Downton Abbey" as Cinderella, the Harry Potter films' Helena Bonham Carter as The Fairy Godmother and Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother Lady Tremaine. "Game of Thrones" actor Richard Madden is also featured as Prince Charming.

"Cinderella" is slated for release March 13, 2015. To see the teaser trailer click below.
