The Arabia civ has long been a featured civilization in the "Civilization" franchise. Settling in the Arabian Peninsula, this civ is strategically one of the best trading civs in the game. It has historical and significant ties with both religion and science, which would be advantageous in "Civilization 6".

The leader for this civ is Saladin. Historically, he is recognized as the first sultan of both Egypt and Syria. This leader was also the founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty. Aside from his political power, he is a renowned scholar and a legendary military commander. His wisdom and reputation is revered both by his allies and enemies.

The Last Prophet, Mamluk, Madrasa, and Righteousness of the Faith

As with all "Civilization 6" civs and leaders, Arabia and Saladin have their own unique abilities. Arabia's unique ability is called "The Last Prophet". This means that if the player claims the penultimate Great Prophet, then the last one would automatically be included. This then guarantees the civ to find a religion, which would be a great advantage in "Civilization 6".

Arabia is historically known for the use of their horses. This is why "Civilization 6" will incorporate these elements in the unique military unit called Mamluk. This unit will be able to heal itself at the end of each turn, even if they moved or just fought in battle.

Having strong ties with the Islamic religion, the Arabia civ's unique building for "Civilization 6" is the Madrasa. This landmark will generate more science points than the regular university. It will also provide faith via the campus adjacency bonus.

As for Saladin, he will gain the unique ability called Righteousness of the Faith. It is worth noting that this phrase is also his name's actual translation. However, in "Civilization 6", this means that the worship building for the religion of the Arabia civ will require significantly lower faith to build. This ability also grants additional bonuses in science, faith, and culture.

Release

"Civilization 6" will be officially landing on October 21. The game will be playable via PCs running on Windows, OS X, or Linux.
