PWS speculated that the sixth longest-reigning WWE Champion's comeback will be "set up as a party crasher" to make the Sting WWE debut event even more interesting.

Sting, on the other hand, was reported to take on the winner of the Brock Lesnar vs John Cena match at Summerslam 2014.

YouTube user DrPowerBomb also contributed to the talks claiming that CM Punk may be set up for a feud with "young lion" Dean Ambrose.
