Collegians Learn Leadership Skills Through NAMB's New 'Impact Zone'

Southern Baptist collegians learned about servant leadership skills during the first conference of its kind, "Impact Zone," where 85 students spent a week, May 22-29, doing community service in the morning and listening to prominent Christian business and ministry leaders at night on the campus of Wheaton College. The conference was an idea of Bob E. Reccord, president of the North American Mission Board which sponsored the mission effort, to address what he saw as the leadership crisis facing Southern Baptists and the evangelical community due to the declining youth participating rate in churches.
