Computers, Disney and Bible Study Meld in New Educational Environment
Anchor Way Baptist Church in Steamboat Springs Colorado has created an educational environment with a Disney flavor to educate children from preschool to fifth-grade about the Bibe in a fun and engaging way. The basement-level classroom features a mine shaft, natural areas and the latest video technology.
Named "Adventure Ridge," the environment implements video screens and video displays such as a 42-inch TV screen, a computer station where children can play Bible trivia and three PlayStation 2 game consoles.
"It is a Disney-quality artwork and accessory that is going to allow us to communicate Biblical values to our children and our community," Pastor Kevin King said.

King said churches across the nation have created similar developments to bring a fun and unique approach to bible study. King commented that, the developments have "enhanced the children's ministries for the churches who have done this."
According to King, Anchor Way Baptist Church has been gathering the funds for the project for seven months. The church will now begin a similar project for middle school and high school students.
Adventure Ridge was designed by Bruce Barry, developer of the E.T. ride at Universal Studios and Rainforest Cafés across the country.
