The villain did appear with Constantine in The New 52-era comics. The character's presence has apparently been hinted during the earlier episodes of the DC show including that of Doctor Fate and Jim Corrigan, the Spectre.

The report went on to say that the character will be making its live-action debut in the 10th episode titled "Quid Pro Quo" which is slated to air on Jan. 23. During this time, John (Matt Ryan) investigates a mysterious event wherein thousands of Brooklyn people, including Cha's daughter have fallen into a deep coma. It seems like Faust is behind these events.

For the meantime, fans will be treated with the show's midseason premiere titled "The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2" to air this Friday, Jan. 16, at 8 p.m.

A synopsis for the episode was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"John puts his life on the line as he gets even closer to the source of the rising darkness. In order to fend off a vicious attack, John summons a demon into himself. Chas (Charles Halford), Zed (Angélica Celaya) and Anne Marie (guest star Claire van der Boom) race against time to save John before it's too late."
