'Continuum' Season 4 Release Date, Spoilers News: Show's Upcoming Chapter Gets Premiere Airing Date

Filming for the highly anticipated installment of the hit science fiction TV drama series "Continuum" is reported to have already begun and is expected to wrap up within a month's time for its slated airing date.

A report from Master Herald pointed out that filming for the show's Season 4 has already started this March 26, Thursday, in Vancouver and is scheduled to finish by the middle or the last part of April.

Featured in the show's official Facebook page is a brief video of lead star Rachel Nichols (who played as the time-traveller Kiera Cameron) with co-actor Erik Knudsen (as Alec).

"First shot of the first day of the last season of Continuum. Scene 17, take 1," she said in the video.

Going over to her personal social media, the actress also updates her throng of fans about the show's premiere airing date.

"ANNOUNCEMENT: It's official!" she wrote. "@ContinuumSeries final season will start airing on July 26th, 2015 on @showcasedotca. Get ready... #Continuum"

Nichols previously expressed her excitement in giving "Continuum" the needed closure even for just a short amount of segments.

"All great stories deserve an end," she said. "I am excited and grateful to finish Continuum with the riveting conclusion it deserves ... this series finale is dedicated to the devoted fans who have loyally supported us since day one."

Shaw Media's senior VP, Christine Shipton, meanwhile teased that avid followers of the series would definitely enjoy the show's culmination.

"Continuum's award-winning success on Showcase is a testament to the quality of our Canadian original productions ... with executive producer Simon Barry at its helm, the fourth and final season of Continuum is bound to deliver a heroic conclusion to the futuristic series," Shipton said.
