The Dallas Cowboys will face off against the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football tonight to close out the NFL regular season, and it could not be a more exciting game to conclude things.

This is a winner takes all match up with the winner going through to the playoffs and the losers eliminated. A tie would see the Redskins go through and the Cowboys crash out.

This all-NFC East clash will start at 8.20 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

Sunday Night Football will see the 9-6 Redskins take on the 8-7 Cowboys with the winner guaranteed a spot in the postseason.

NFC East rivals and reigning Super Bowl champs, the New York Giants, were eliminated from the playoffs earlier on Sunday despite winning 42-7 against the Philadelphia Eagles, because the Chicago Bears skimmed through with a tight 26-24 win against the Detroit Lions.

If it wasn't enough that this is a winner takes all game, these two teams have a historic rivalry, which should ensure a fierce, tense and passionate battle.

Add in Robert Griffin III vs Tony Romo in the quarterback match up and this is an even more attractive clash.

RG3 took apart the Cowboys in their meeting last month, however, he comes into this game not at 100 percent fitness and he is still coming back from a knee injury.

Griffin III has gone 249 from 375 for 3,100 yards and 20 touchdowns coming into this game. Oppositely Romo has gone 405 from 611 for 4,685 yards and 26 touchdowns.

The Cowboys' loss 31-34 last week to the New Orleans was preceded by three straight wins against Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. They will need to re-find that good form again today in what is sure to be a closely fought match up.

Meanwhile the Redskins have won six straight games since going down against the Panthers at the start of November.

If they can continue their storming form they can complete an amazing comeback to clinch the divisional title and enter the playoffs confident that they are one of the most in form teams.
