After winning five states in Monday's primaries Romney erased doubts that he would secure the nomination. Then the big question became: will Newt Gingrich drop out. Well it remains to be seen now.
The Canadian government says it plans to appeal a ruling from the Ontario Court of Appeal that struck down several anti-prostitution laws. A Christian prayer said by a city councilor at a Saskatoon volunteer appreciation dinner in Saskatchewan offended a volunteer who has now gone to the Human Rights Commission. Now Ashu Solo wants an apology and says if he doesn't get it, he's going to the Human Rights Commission. Solo who is an atheist said the prayer made him feel like a victim of religious bigotry and discrimination. Solo is also a member of Saskatoon's Cultural diversity and race relations committee.
It was World Malaria Day yesterday and World Vision along with Christian leaders and churches across the U.S., have been working to unite the faith community to fight against the disease. Malaria is killing millions of children especially in Africa. Celebration Center in Washington talked to our partner the Christian Post about their five week campaign called "death to life" which provides educational awareness . Churches around the country are also partnering with World Vision to host "Malaria Sunday," when worshippers raise money to go toward the purchasing of nets.
The Archbishop of Nigeria has warned: Britain's drift away from its Christian heritage is impacting its ability to support Christians being attacked in other countries. During a meeting at Britain's House of Lords Archbishop Nicholas Okoh gave a report on widespread attacks against churches in Nigeria. Hundreds of Christians have been killed by the militant Islamist group Boko Haram. The Archbishop warned that assistance from the U.K. has been made less effective as a result of the erosion of Christianity within British society.
