CreationFest Secures Over 44 CCM Bands to Play for Crowd of Tens of Thousands

Creation Fest 2005 has already kicked up its heels. Set to begin on the evening of Wednesday, June 29 and lasting through July 2, Creation Fest 2005 promises to be a blessed shout from over 100,000 people to "honor the Creator." Though a predominantly music outreach ministry, it boasts a tremendous number of other activities, including messages from the Bible.

Previous years' testimonies reveal how much attendees loved Creation Fest, and many testify that the event changed their lives.

"Creation '04 was my first year and it was awesome! I was baptized and really started my relationship with God. I let go of all my past guilts and sins, and just washed them all away," said Lacey on the Creation Fest newsletter.

The multifaceted event features a fantastic array of Christian worship bands, famous Christian speakers, and Christian-centered activities and entertainment. Some of the notable bands to be playing include MercyMe, Casting Crowns, David Crowder, Switchfoot, Jeremy Camp, Toby Mac, and Michael W. Smith, all of whom have been topping the charts of the genre known as Contemporary Christian Music for months on end now.

But it's not just a music event, says Creation on their website. "The Word of God is honored at Creation. Much prayer and effort goes into finding Godly speakers who have vital and relevant messages for this generation." Indeed, this year has a substantial list of speakers, including the original founder of Creation Fest, Harry Thomas, who sought "to challenge thousands of young people to serve Christ." Other names include Mark Matlock, David Burke, Margaret Becker, Dan Owens, and Lakita Gartha, Greg Laurie, Bob Lenz, Duffy Robbins, Rob Schenck, Michael Franzese, L.G. Wise, Buster Soaries, Ron Luce, all of whom are involved in ministry.

For four days, people will camp out in the beautiful sites of Agape Farm, PA on the east coast and Gorge Amphitheater, outside of Seattle, WA. Heading into its 27th year, this event is heralded as the nation's largest Christian music, teaching and camping festival. This year promises to be its best and biggest year yet with more services and Christiantainment, such as the tradition candlelight service, an active prayer tent, water baptism, the popular fireworks, campfires, sports competitions, an exhibit area, communion, vertical worship tent, seminars, contests, hikes, opportunities to meet the music ministry artists, and even a skateboard team dedicated to reaching out to kids.

There will also be a Children's Tent with life action puppets, musical ventriloquist, and opportunities for children to learn worship.

Other bands that will be featured are Phil Keaggy Band, Kutless, Audio Adrenaline, Todd Agnew, By The Tree, Barlow Girls, Pillar, Sanctus Real, Starfield, Casting Crowns, Reuent K, Lincoln Brewster, Caedmon's Call, Joy williams, Tait, The Cross Movement, Superchic(K), Jason Morant, Michael Gungor, Bethany Dillon, and Newsboys plus 15 "Fringe Stage" bands.
